So i thought i would try my hand at the water spotted technique everyone has been doing...BUT i didn't have and couldn't find hand sanitizer spray, so i decided to try rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle...Yeah, that didn't work so well, haha. Basically, it like sort of dissolved it, i guess is the word. I don't know how to really describe it, but i took a short video on my phone to show y'all what did happen. You can see the video
HERE on my youtube page (which is also a baby) it's actually my very first video =D
Below is a photo of a few 'test' specimens i took.
So you can see, it definitely doesn't do the desired 'spotted' effect but something entirely different..Not sure if i like it or not! What do you guys think?!
That's how mine were turning out too... thought it looked like lace in the end hehe. Love your new blog girl, you go!! It's imjteets from ig. :)
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much! I know it's still pretty basic and it's definitely in its baby stage, but I hope that someday it'll be great! I'm glad i'm not the only one having issues with doing spotting! Where i live, we miss out on a lot of things as we are 2-4 hours from civilization lol. Do you have a blog as well? I'd love to check it out!
DeleteI really like the first one.. I think it is very pretty even if it isn't the look you were going for! hope to try this technique myself sometime :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I read online that someone tried using polish remover, but I'm not sure if it was acetone based or not..Guess i'll do a few more experiments and update everyone! :)
DeleteI know I'm slow on this, but I like the second pic (darker one)....I'm going to have to check into this and see how to do it, might have to try it sometime!!
